Zamfara Governor Budgets N1 Billion to build ultramodern Cemeteries Across 14 LGAs as Bandit Killings Persist
Amid persistent insecurity and recurring d+adly att@cks, the Zamfara State Government has budgeted N1 billion for the construction of cemeteries across 14 local government areas of the state.
The allocation is contained in the state’s approved 2026 budget under the Ministry of Religious Affairs, at a time when several communities continue to experience vi+lent a+sa¥lts linked to b@nditry.
The budgetary provision comes against the backdrop of repeated k+llings across the state. On Wednesday evening, b@ndits reportedly ambushed residents of Kyaram community, k+lling at least five people, with several others still missing.
In a related att@ck, at least four residents of Gwargwaba village in the Nahuce District of Bungudu Local Government Area were k+lled on January 29, 2025, after suspected b@ndits stormed the community.
