I Sold a Limousine Gifted to Me to Buy Motorcycles for My Pastors — Pastor Adeboye

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has shared a touching testimony about how he handled expensive gifts he received during his early years in ministry.

Speaking during the church’s thanksgiving service, Pastor Adeboye recalled how an elderly woman once surprised him with a Mercedes Benz while he was still riding a bus.

“I almost said, ‘Alakoba wo le leyi?’ I hope this one is not trying to get me into trouble,” he said.

Unsure of what to do with the car, he parked it and avoided using it until God cautioned him in a dream for rejecting the woman’s blessing.

“Why are you robbing my daughter of her blessing? She sowed a seed, and you are not allowing the seed to germinate,” he quoted God as saying.

Following the instruction, he handed the car to his late deputy, late Pastor Abiodun, who encouraged him to enjoy the gift instead but he insisted on gifting him. Not long after, he received three more Mercedes Benz cars, leaving him amazed.

He recounted that while he was still figuring out what to do with the three cars, a man arrived at his house by 2:00 AM with a rare six-door Mercedes limousine, explaining that God instructed him to deliver it immediately.

“I said to God, ‘Even if I die and they put me in this car, I will wake up. Will you permit me to sell the car?’” he recalled.

After praying, he received permission and decided to sell the luxury vehicle.

“I remember I sold it and used the money to buy motorcycles for my pastors,” he concluded.
