US Consul-General Advocates For Collaboration With Enugu On HIV Prevention, Control

The Consul-General, United States Mission in Nigeria, Ms. Claire Pierangelo, accompanied by the Director, Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Mr. Mahesh Swaminathan and others including a delegation from Caritas Nigeria, paid a courtesy call this evening, on Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State, ahead of tomorrow's official launch of Enugu State Antiretroviral Therapy Surge programme by the governor.

The Consul-General who was delighted to be in Enugu, advocated for greater collaboration with the state government in the prevention, treatment and reduction of spread of HIV in the state.
