The
Presidential Tribunal sitting in Abuja, on Wednesday, stroke out the
petition of Atiku Abubakar, alleging that the Feb. 23 presidential
election was rigged in Buhari’s favour, Igbere TV reports.
Igbere
TV recalls that the former vice president and his party, the Peoples
Democratic Party (PDP), had alleged that the national election was
rigged by Buhari and his party, the APC.
But delivering
judgement, the presiding judge, Justice Mohammed Garba, said the
petitioners failed to prove their case beyond reasonable doubt.
The Presidential Tribunal, therefore, dismissed the petition for lacking merit.
