Ganduje: Buhari fighting opposition, not corruption – Atiku
Abubakar, has berated President Muhammadu Buhari for refusing to order
the probe of the Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje over
allegation of corruption.
Speaking during a Town Hall meeting yesterday, Buhari had said he
opted not to take any action because the State Assembly has the
mandate to deal with the issue.
However, Abubakar blasted the president for defending Ganduje, saying
Buhari's excuses were untenable.
The Waziri of Adamawa insisted that Buhari was not fighting corruption
but opposition.
In a statement by his spokesperson, Paul Ibe, the former Vice
President "The President has not shown this level of restraint when
condemning the alleged corruption of others who happen not to be
members of his party, the APC.
"On many occasions, President Buhari has pre-judicially commented on
the cases of non-APC members and even acted as judge and jury by
convicting them with his utterances in Nigeria and abroad.
"This partiality of the President is most disturbing, as it is a proof
that he is fighting the opposition and not corruption."
