2019: Oyo Senator, Sunmonu, four House of Reps members pick ADC nomination forms [PHOTOS]

The Senator representing Oyo Central in the National Assembly, Mrs.
Monsurat Sunmonu, and four members of the House of Representatives
from Oyo State, on Thursday picked nomination forms of the African
Democratic Congress (ADC), ahead of the 2019 general elections.

Sunmonu and the House of Representatives members; among whom were Hon.
Sunday Adepoju (Ido/Ibarapa East), Hon. Sunbo Olugbemi (Oluyole),
Abiodun Olasupo (Iseyin/Itesiwaju/Kajola) and Taiwo Michael Akintola
(Egbeda/ Ona Ara, picked the forms at the National Secretariat of the
party in Abuja.

The five lawmakers, DAILY POST recalls, belonged to Unity Forum, a
breakaway faction of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the
state that recently joined ADC.

The lawmakers, who were all elected on the platform of the APC in
2015, dumped the party due to what they termed injustice and impunity
in ruling party.

Sunmonu, who picked the Oyo Central senatorial district forms on the
platform of ADC is seeking a second term as a senator.

She was the first female Speaker of Oyo state House of Assembly where
she piloted the affairs of the Assembly between 2011 and 2015 during
the first tenure of Governor Abiola Ajimobi of the state.

Adepoju, a Lagos-based former Special Adviser and close ally of
Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who has been in the green chamber since
2011 is seeking a third term ticket to represent Ido/Ibarapa East
federal constituency.

The trio of Olugbemi, Olasupo and Akintola are all seeking second term
tickets to represent their constituencies in 2019.
