Mass defection: PDP presidential aspirant, Turaki reacts, reveals what’ll now happen

Frontline PDP Presidential aspirant, Kabiru Tanimu Turaki, SAN, has
reacted to the defection of over 50 lawmakers from the ruling All
Progressives Congress, APC, to the opposition Peoples Democratic
Party, PDP, and other parties.

Turaki welcomed the development at the National Assembly as the PDP
now has a clear majority in the Senate and House of Representatives.

In a statement made available to DAILY POST by the Director Media and
Publicity of his Presidential Campaign Organization, Sola Atere,
Turaki described the development as the beauty of democracy.

The presidential aspirant said he heartily welcome the Senators back
to their "natural home."

He said, "Their coming back to PDP will further strengthen the resolve
of the party to rescue Nigerians from the despotic, clueless and
nepotistic APC government that has unleashed poverty, insecurity,
killings and economic strangulation on Nigerians."

Turaki also condemned, "the gestapo tactics unleashed on the number
Three man in the country, Senate President, Bukola Saraki and his
deputy, Eke Ekweramadu ostensibly to put them under house arrest
illegally by security agents."

He said it, "Is clearly a dangerous attempt to truncate Nigeria's democracy."
