Mubi: UN speaks on Adamawa bomb blast
In a statement by Farhan Haq, the UN Deputy Spokesman, Guterres extended his “condolences to the bereaved families and to the Government and people of Nigeria for the loss of life.”
“The Secretary-General reiterates the solidarity of the United Nations with the Government of Nigeria in its fight against terrorism and violent extremism.
“He also renews the commitment of the United Nations to continue to support regional counter-terrorism initiatives,” the statement added.
President Muhammadu Buhari yesterday reacted to the incident.
Buhari also directed the Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, to deploy more police personnel to prevent further attacks by armed bandits in Zamfara State
