Champions League: Klopp explains why Liverpool blew three-goal lead

Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp, has said his players “stopped playing football”, as they blew a 3-0 lead to draw 3-3 at Sevilla on Tuesday in the Champions League.
Roberto Firmino scored twice either side of a goal from Sadio Mane, as the Reds dominated the opening 45 minutes of the game.

However, Klopp’s men collapsed in the second half. Wissam Ben Yedder scored twice 15 minutes after the break, before Guido Pizarro levelled the tie late on.
“It was a very good first half and not a very good second half,” Klopp told BT Sport.
“We stopped playing football in the second half and let them come back in the game.”
When asked if Liverpool had been complacent, Klopp said: “We were confident up to that first half and then we were too late in a situation, the whole formation was too late.

“They had the free-kick and the header and the penalty. The real problem is that we stopped playing football.”
