Akeredolu’s appointee ordered attack on me in Ondo – Osun commissioner, Ilori

Osun State Commissioner for Regional Integration, Mr. Bola Ilori, has alleged that persons who assaulted him in Akure on Thursday acted on the instructions of a top appointee of Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu.
Ilori was assaulted by some suspected political thugs at the zonal meeting of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Akure.

The meeting was held at the International Events Centre, Akure, the Ondo state capital.
Ilori, who represented Osun State at the forum, was mobbed when he left the hall to grant interview with reporters at the entrance of the hall.
His clothes and underwear were torn by his attackers, before security agents rushed to the scene.
Refusing to offer any explanation, Ilori insisted that a top Ondo State Government official sent the thugs to attack him.

“It is the (name withheld) that sent them,” Punch quoted him.
