Tiemoue Bakayoko’s £40million move from Monaco to Chelsea was held up
because there were too many people representing the player.
According to French outlet, L’Equipe, “Bakayoko to Chelsea was messy
to finalise yesterday owing to the amount of agents trying to be
compensated in the deal.”
It is, however, believed that the transfer has been tied up on Friday
night and the midfielder will be officially unveiled over the weekend.
Although it was rumoured that Manchester United were set to hijack
the move, just like they did with Romelu Lukaku, it is understood that
Bakayoko’s deal was agreed a long time ago and was only being delayed by
agents.
The 22-year-old will become Antonio Conte’s third signing ahead of the new season, after Willy Caballero and Antonio Rudiger.
