A Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and a 2019
governorship aspirant in Kaduna State, Alhaji Sani Suleiman, has urged
the new leader of the party, Ahmed Makarfi to work with Ekiti State
governor, Ayo Fayose, ex-Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode
in moving PDP forward.
Addressing journalists at the party’s National Headquarters in Abuja,
Suleiman also named former Delta State governorship aspirant, Chief
Sunny Onuesoke as one of those Makarfi should consider working with in
his rebuilding process.
He said the support Fayose, Fani-Kayode and Onuesoke gave to the Markafi’s faction during the party’s crisis was unquantifiable.
Suleiman said, “Now that the party is ready to play its opposition
role and regain its position as the leading party in the country, we
need these true heroes of democracy to contribute their quota to the
growth and stability of the party and equally provide a vibrant
opposition to the ruling APC.
“At a time, many notable party chieftains left PDP, some went into
hiding, a few quietly left the country because of fear and to evade
political witch-hunting from the APC, yet some individuals never gave up
on the party.
“Kudos to Governor Fayose of Ekiti, Nyesome Wike of Rivers,
Fani-Kayode and Onuesoke of Delta, who are the true representatives of
the masses
