Gunmen kidnap female lawyer, Rabi Ozavize Ovosi in Kogi

A legal practitioner in Kogi State, Mrs. Rabi Ozavize ovosi has been kidnapped.
Barrister Ovosi was reportedly kidnapped on the 14th of July, 2017 along Lokoja Okene road.

The kidnap of the mother of two is coming a day after some unknown gunmen murdered the Osun State Permanent Secretary, Bureau of General services, Mrs Olufunke Oluwakemi Kolawole around Okene, in kogi State, on her way to Abuja.
Speaking to DAILY POST on Sunday, cousin of the kidnapped victim, Abdullateef Ovosi said the kidnappers called the family at the early hours of today (Sunday) demanding for ransom.
“As at this morning, I heard a ransom has been made, but I have not actually ascertained the details now.

“The family were holding a meeting when the kidnappers called. As we speak, their lines are no more reachable for us to know what amount they are demanding.”
Ovosi said the kidnap of the female lawyer had thrown his family into total confusion since Friday.
When asked if the case had been reported to the Kogi State police command, he said “as usual, the police said they are on top of the situation.

“So, we are still waiting for a quick release of our sister. We are all worried and we are praying, asking everybody to join us in praying for her safe return”.
