Ezeemo emerges first guber candidate in Anambra as PPA holds primary election

The Progressive Peoples Alliance, PPA, has elected industrialist, Chief Godwin Ezeemo as its candidate for the November 18, governorship polls in Anambra.
Ezeemo was declared winner after polling 358 votes out of the total 600 delegates. While one of the votes was invalidated because it was blank, one other was outrightly against Ezeemo who was the sole candidate of the party.

The declaration of Chief Ezeemo Saturday evening by the PPA National Secretary, Barrister Kehinde Edun threw the crowd of delegates into loud jubilation.
Addressing the press, the PPA National Chairman, Chief Peter Ameh said that PPA has the best for Anambra State in Godwin Chukwunaenye Ezeemo and advised the Anambra electorate to vote for merit and ability, not zoning or money, in the forthcoming election.

Ameh congratulated Ezeemo for his consistency in party politics, saying that since he joined the party, he has refused to be swayed into joining another party but has remained with PPA after coming fourth in the last gubernatorial election.

He assured Anambra people that in Ezeemo they have a different breed of politician who has the pedigree and capacity to change the life of the people for the better.
He assured that PPA is better prepared to win elections this time around and has continued to prove that it seeks to serve the interest of the people.
Mr Ezeemo speaking on his victory appreciated the PPA delegates for choosing him, promised that his government, if elected as governor will be responsible to the people in all ramifications.

The exercise was monitored by officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) who expressed happiness over the transparency in the process.
