Foreigner stops turtle from being sold to potential eater in Lagos 

An emotional act of compassion has reportedly unfolded near Eko Hotel, Lagos, after a foreign man intervened when he encountered men allegedly attempting to sell sea turtles.

A social media user, Folarin revealed that the foreigner refused to stand by and watch the animals be traded. He reportedly pleaded with those involved, calling on bystanders and police officers present to recognise that the creatures deserved protection.

When his appeals did not immediately succeed, he reportedly made a remarkable decision: he paid the men for the turtles, not to own them, but to secure their release.

With the assistance of a police van, the turtles were reportedly transported back to the sea and released into their natural habitat.
