Nigerian musician Mavo apologises after past tweets about colleagues resurface online

Nigerian musician Mavo has apologised after one of his old posts criticising some of his colleagues resurfaced online.

In the post, Mavo admitted that he was a harsh entertainment critic when he started university and often criticised music stars on X.

He said he later realised that the celebrities he criticised were largely unaffected by his posts, prompting him to stop focusing on criticism and concentrate on his music career.

According to Mavo, his past comments “sadly unfortunately & unintentionally” hurt several people, adding that he later met some of those he had criticised and discovered that they were “amazing people.”

He apologised for what he described as his misjudgment and urged people to allow love to lead.

“I’m sorry for my misjudgment. Let love lead,” he wrote
