1. VACANCIES

Applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified persons for full-time appointments to the following positions in the Nigeria Agricultural Quarantine Service.

A. SUPERINTENDENT CADRE

(i) Chief Superintendent of Quarantine Cadre (CSQ) – CONRAISS 12 (Veterinary Doctors)

Candidates must have a minimum of First Degree (DVM) from a recognized institution of higher learning and NYSC Discharge/Exemption Certificate.

(ii) Deputy Superintendent of Quarantine (DSQ I) – CONRAISS 08 (Law)

Candidates must have a minimum of First Degree in Law or Master's Degree from a recognized institution of higher learning and NYSC Discharge/Exemption Certificate.

(iii) Assistant Superintendent of Quarantine II (ASQ II) – CONRAISS 07

Candidates must have a minimum of First Degree from a recognized institution of higher learning and NYSC Discharge/Exemption Certificate.

B. INSPECTORATE CADRE (IQ I – IQ III)

Inspector of Quarantine (IQ I – IQ III) – CONRAISS 05

General Duty.

Candidates must be holders of OND/NCE Certificate from a recognized institution.

C. ASSISTANT CADRE

Quarantine Assistant (QA I – QA III) – CONRAISS 04

General Duty.

Candidates must be holders of SSCE, NECO or GCE O'Level with a minimum of five (5) credits in not more than two (2) sittings, which should include English and Mathematics.

1. STATUTORY REQUIREMENTS FOR NIGERIA AGRICULTURAL QUARANTINE SERVICE RECRUITMENT 2026

Candidates applying for Nigeria Agricultural Quarantine Service Recruitment 2026 must:

i. Be Nigerian by birth.

ii. Have National Identity Number (NIN).

iii. Be medically fit.

iv. Present Certificate of Medical Fitness from a Government Hospital.

v. Be required to pass a drug test.

vi. Be of good character and must not have been convicted of any criminal offence and must not be a member of any secret society/cult.

vii. Be free from financial embarrassment.

viii. Have height not less than 1.55 m for females and 1.65 m for males.

ix. Have chest measurement of not less than 0.87 m for men.

x. Be computer literate.

xi. Any certificate or qualification not declared and accepted at the recruitment centre shall not be accepted after recruitment.

Physical Challenges

Candidates with any of the following need not apply:

a. Impediment in speech (stammer/dumb)

b. Gross malformation of teeth

c. Knock knees

d. Bow legs

e. K legs

f. Flat foot

g. Limb legs

h. Bent arms/deformed hands/fracture

i. Defective eyesight (squint eye, crossed eye, one-eyed, total blindness)

j. Amputation of any part of the physical body

k. Hearing impaired (deaf)

l. Hunched back

m. Obesity

n. Medical challenges

o. Any physical deformity not mentioned

Note: Due to the rigour of the physical exercise in the recruitment process, women with pregnancy need not apply for Nigeria Agricultural Quarantine Service Recruitment 2026.

2. Computer Based Test (CBT)

There shall be a Computer Based Test for shortlisted candidates. Appropriate time and date shall be communicated to such persons.

3. CLOSING
