Family Betrayal: Woman and Husband Caught Attempting to Sell Her Sister’s Baby

Woman and her husband arrested for attempting to sell off her sister’s baby

The Idumebo Security Network in Esan Central of Edo state have arrested a Benue woman identified as Charity Jacob, and her husband, John, for plotting to sell off her sister’s child for N3 million.

In a video making the rounds on social media, the members of the community security network said they received an intel that a woman and a man were about to sell a baby to an intending buyer. Acting on the intel received, the security operatives immediately stormed the place where the negotiation was taking place and apprehended the suspects. 

The security agents say the suspects were negotiating to sell the baby for N3 million.

When interrogated, Charity confirmed that the baby she was planning to sell belonged to her sister who had no idea she was scheming to sell her child. She also mentioned that she had been planning with her husband to sell off the child
