 The role works to position claims management/administration as a strategic partner to the business to actualize the following:

Evaluating all documents submitted in respect of claims lodged to be able to identify fraudulent cases

Supervising the Claims team in the day to day discharge of their function.

Approving all claims that are above the limits of the Team Lead

Supervision of monthly & NAICOM returns.

Analyzing any likelihood for recovery / Salvage Administration

Ensuring tasks are completed within the agreed SLA for both internal and external customers.

Ensuring that all regulations and guidelines are complied with.

This is a senior role, where the holder will advocate, develop and communicate to the business leaders, employees and all stakeholders across the business and organization. They will drive prompt service delivery that supports great customer experiences and operational efficiencies towards market leadership and be a key advocate of employee optimization.

The role holder will be a strategic partner to the business responsible for driving the alignment of people and business strategies.

These objectives will be achieved through effective:

Restructuring of claims department to align to business function

Review of Claims policies and SLA positively

Create risk management framework in collaboration with ERM; Embed cyclical review of all audit outcomes/ potential issues

Create a project plan and drive effective execution of Technical application

Work with talent management to create companywide manpower plans- that are revalidated annually

Ideal Job Specifications

Academic:

Bachelor's degree /HND in any Social Science related field

Master’s Degree is an added advantage.

professional qualification in CIIN and other recognized Insurance professional Institutions

Desired work experience:

Minimum of 7 years in insurance technical department with at least 3 years in managerial role.

Technical advancement in the area of training on matters relating to Underwriting & claims procedures which aligns with company’s strategies & goals.

Ability as a claims manager to resolve issues with brokers and Policy Holders

Exposure to digital business models

Required Educational Level: Graduate, Professional, Masters
