 Key Responsibilities

Timely submission of all periodic and ad-hoc regulatory and statutory returns to relevant authorities, including the SEC, NFIU, and FIRS.

Provision of guidance on the implementation of newly introduced and adopted regulatory standards.

Regulatory advisory support to business units to ensure effective implementation of regulatory circulars and directives.

Design and implementation of compliance processes, reports, alert systems, and automation tools to enhance operational efficiency.

Collaboration with internal stakeholders in the development and review of products, services, and processes to ensure regulatory and statutory compliance.

Review of client onboarding documentation and data to ensure accuracy, completeness, compliance with required standards, and appropriate escalation of exceptions.

Management of regulatory correspondence and engagement with regulators and government.

Required Experience

Bachelor’s degree (minimum of Second Class Lower) in Accounting, Law, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.

Professional qualification or membership of ICAN, NBA, ACCA, or CIN will be an added advantage.

Minimum of five (5) years’ relevant experience in compliance functions within financial institutions.

Possession of SEC sponsorship is an added advantage.

Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
