If I DI£ today, my body belongs to the state Government- WHAT DOES THE LAW SAYS?
I have a written a letter and will deliver it to the state Governor and the letter must be passed to all other Governors in future, pending when i DI£
And i must be buried within four weeks
These are the confessional statement of Ayodele Fayose
What does the Law say about this kind of confessional statement that was recorded on video, if eventually his children want to do otherwise?
Can the state Government take over the body by force?
Even without this statement, as an Ex Governor of the state
The State Government will take over his burial activities from A to Z, apart from deciding where to bury him.
But with this move, he has given the State Government the power to choose where to bury him
Let's go on,
Confessional statement on video tape like this, are not enforceable until he writes to the Government as he said.
The letter containing his last wish will be prepared by his lawyer to meet up with all legal requirements to make it valid.
Once they do the needful
The children can not do otherwise
The government can apply for a court order to enforce his last wish if the children want to go against it.
This is a smart move,
Family no go spend money for burial and no Family drama for his burial at all
Ignorance of the law is no excuse
