Nathaniel Bassey’s Hallelujah Challenge 2025 surpasses 1.2 million global views on day 15, uniting Christians worldwide in midnight worship across YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.
The 2025 edition of the Hallelujah Challenge, a global online praise and worship movement led by celebrated gospel artist Nathaniel Bassey, has surpassed 1.2 million live views across social media platforms, reaffirming its position as one of the world’s largest virtual Christian gatherings.
According to data obtained by the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the milestone was reached during the midnight session on Wednesday, marking day 15 of the October edition of the Challenge.
The session drew participants from across continents via YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok, uniting Christians in a simultaneous wave of worship, prayer, and thanksgiving.
Other guest ministers are also usually invited to grace the program, for instance on the 11th day of the hallelujah challenge Jerry Uchechukwu Eze a Nigerian Pentecostal pastor who is the founder and Lead Pastor of Streams of Joy International, and the convener of the New Season Prophetic Prayers and Declaration, an online digital prayer platform (NSPPD) on YouTube ministered, popular gospel minister Victoria Orenze and many others have also ministered in this year edition. Also, Apostle Joshua Selman and others will also be ministering in the coming days of the program.
Since its debut in 2017 as a spontaneous Instagram Live worship session, the Hallelujah Challenge has evolved into a global faith movement, inspiring millions to engage in nightly worship from their homes. What began in Bassey’s living room has become an international altar of praise, drawing testimonies of healing, breakthrough, and transformation.
Reflecting on the phenomenal growth, Nathaniel Bassey described the experience as “a divine move beyond human planning.”
“What began as a simple act of obedience to host a midnight praise session has turned into a global altar of worship. Every time we lift our voices, we witness God move in powerful ways that transcend borders and denominations,” Bassey said.
Media reports across Nigeria and beyond have noted a steady rise in participation throughout 2025, hailing the Challenge as one of the most engaging digital faith movements of the decade.
The session, which typically begins at 11:59 p.m., features an hour of intense praise, worship, and intercession, culminating each season with the Hallelujah Festival — a physical gathering where thousands worship live and share testimonies.
Speaking further, Bassey reaffirmed that the essence of the Challenge remains rooted in sincerity and unity of worship.
“The Hallelujah Challenge is not just an event, it’s a movement. When believers gather in one accord to exalt God, miracles happen. That’s what we’ve seen since 2017, and we are only just beginning,” he said.
From its early days of a few thousand participants to today’s global audience of millions, the Hallelujah Challenge continues to inspire faith and hope across nations.
As the October session enters its final phase, Bassey encouraged participants to remain steadfast in faith, adding:
“We’re living in a time when the world desperately needs hope. Through praise, we’re proclaiming that God still reigns and still answers prayers.”
