NAF Commences Recruitment Of Airmen, Airwomen

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has announced the commencement of online applications for its Airmen/Airwomen Basic Military Training Course 46/2025, News360 Nigeria reports.

In a post on its official X handle on Monday, the Force said the registration is free and will run from October 14 to November 25, 2025.

Interested applicants are to apply through the recruitment portal at nafrecruitment.airforce.mil.ng.

NAF stated that upon completing the online application, candidates must print out the acknowledgement slip, parent and guardian consent form, and local government area attestation form.

These forms must be signed by authorized officials, including a military officer from the applicant’s state not below the rank of Wing Commander in the Nigerian Air Force or equivalent ranks in the Nigerian Army or Navy, a police officer of at least Chief Superintendent rank, a substantive local government chairman or secretary, or a magistrate from the applicant’s state of origin.

The Local Government Area Attestation Form must also include the signee’s passport photograph and a photocopy of a valid means of identification such as a driver’s licence, national ID card, or international passport.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must be Nigerian citizens and physically, medically, and psychologically fit in line with NAF medical and employment standards. Male applicants must not be shorter than 1.66m, while female applicants must not be below 1.63m in height.

For non-tradesmen/women, applicants must be between 18 and 22 years of age and possess a minimum of five credits, including Mathematics and English Language, in not more than two sittings in WAEC, NECO, GCE, NABTEB, or NBAIS, as well as their secondary school testimonials.

For tradesmen/women, candidates must be between 18 and 27 years old and hold at least a lower credit in ND or NCE from an accredited institution, alongside five credits, including Mathematics and English, obtained in not more than two sittings.

Applicants applying as drivers or for trades requiring a trade test must have the same five-credit qualification, in addition to a valid trade test certificate and driving licence.

Those applying as sportsmen/women must provide evidence of professional experience such as certificates or medals.

NAF emphasized that applicants must not have any prior criminal convictions and that the zonal general aptitude test for shortlisted candidates will be conducted on a date to be announced on its recruitment portal.
