CELEBRATING THE AFRICA YOUTH
Dear Africa youth, The Leadership of the 4th Assembly, Lagos State Youth Parliment, Celebrate Africa’s greatest resource which is it youth.
There is no doubt the youth of Africa remain a critical resource in the 21st century nation building and development. With over Billions of youth across the world, Africa remains one of the most densely populated youthful continents.
With over 70% of the continent population under age 30years, the continent is a destination for harnessing the potentials of youth demographic dividends. Harnessing the youthful demographic dividends requires conscious effort of African countries to make the right and meaningful investments in their youth.
The spillover effects investing in the youth come with enormous benefits to countries, Nations and continents. Like factors of production, the youth is the driving force of human capital for stimulating productivity levels for economic growth and development in the 21st century with the right kind of investments in them.
The youthful population of Africa brings to us a lot hope and affirmation that with all necessary resources for youth development, youth power and youth participation in place, our youth are not a threat but a conduit for harnessing economic growth and development of Nations. The youth becomes the raw material to be harnessed in achieving "The Africa We Want" Agenda of the African Union, Lagos of our dream and the Lagos State Youth Agenda.
The 4th Assembly of the Lagos State Youth Parliment strongly believes that Africa youth(Lagos,Nigeria) is the key towards building a better continent. We may learn about our heroes past,Our task as youth and young individuals in Africa is to make ourselves the architect of the future we want and desire.
And As Mahatma Gandhi said Be the change you wish to see in the world, African youth becoming agents of change irrespective of political colors, Ethnicity, Educational or social status, Race,Gender etc, the hope for the Africa (Lagos,Nigeria) of our dream is highly achievable.
