Jonathan, PDP Chairman And Governors Shun Governorship Campaign In Bayelsa
As the Bayelsa State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) began
its campaign for the November 16 governorship election in the state on
Monday, Information Parrot Nigeria reports that a former president of
Nigeria Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, governors elected on the platform of the
party and its National Chairman, Prince Uche Secondus were conspicuously
absent.
At the event which held at the Ox-Bow Lake Pavilion, Yenagoa,the state capital, Mr.Secondus was however represented by the party’s Vice-Chairman, South, Emmanuel Ogidi amidst thousands of party faithful across the eight local government area of the state.
The highlight of the inaugural campaign was the defection of a former APC stalwart from Sagbama Local Government Area, Miebi Bribina.
Both Gov.Seriake Dickson and PDP Candidate, Senator Douye Diri boasted that PDP will emerge victorious at the election.
