APC Nigeria Buttresses On The Spread Of Fake News On Social Media

APC Nigeria in a new tweet has written about the wide spread of fake news across social media platforms. In the first tweet, they quoted Wikipedia, "On Twitter, false tweets have a much higher chance of being retweeted than truthful tweet". Further more, they advised social media users to research more before they spread false news online, they wrote "Fake news has the tendency to become viral among the public. With the presence of social media platforms like Twitter, it becomes easier for false info to diffuse quickly. Research has found that false political information tends to spread "3 times" faster than other false news."
