NYSC: What we will do for corps members in Ekiti – Fayemi

Fayemi who was represented by the Deputy Governor, Otunba Bisi Egbeyemi, charged the corps members to remain focused and committed to the ethos of the scheme which is to promote peace and unity in the country.
Fayemi cautioned them from engaging in negative vices capable of damaging the image of the NYSC scheme built over the years.
The Governor encouraged them to respect the values and culture of the people of the State.
Earlier in her speech, the Ekiti State NYSC Coordinator, Mrs Emmanuella Okpongete, explained that the orientation course featured activities that instilled the spirit of hard work, discipline, leadership qualities and skills in the corps members.
Mrs Okpongete commended the State government for restoring power supply to the camp and for supporting the scheme with one million, five hundred thousand Naira for feeding.
The NYSC chief explained that the foundation of the five-room office building was laid last year to replace the dilapidated building which was pulled down to give room for the new one.
According to Mrs. Okpongete, a total number of 2,003 corps members participated in the 2019 Batch A orientation course.
