EPL: Alex Iwobi says Petr Cech could still play three or four more years
could play for "three or four" more years.
Iwobi stated this after Cech announced his retirement from playing
football earlier this week.
The Nigerian international said he was surprised by Cech's decision to
retire from playing football, adding that the Gunners will do their
best to make sure that the 36-year-old shot-stopper ends his career on
a high.
"I was [surprised] because he always looks good in training and every
time he plays in a match," Iwobi told Sky Sports News on Thursday.
"When he announced he was retiring I was like 'wow, you could have
another three or four years the way that you're playing'.
"But we have to respect his decision and we'll have to do our best to
make sure he ends his career on a high."
Cech has spent 15 years in the Premier League, during which, he played
for Chelsea and Arsenal, and won multiple trophies.
