Bauchi 2019: Muazu, Yuguda, others didn’t defect from PDP – Kannah

Bauchi State Peoples Democratic Party governorship spokesman, Maigari
Mohammad Kannah has said former governors of Bauchi state, Adamu
Muazu, Isa Yuguda and Mahmoud Yayale, former secretary to federal
government did not defect to the All progressives Congress from PDP

This followed recent media reports that Muazu, Yuguda, senator Gamawa
alongside 15 PDP bigwigs have defected to APC.

Kannah said in a chat with reporters in Bauchi Thursday that the
reaction is to put the record straight for public consumption and to
avoid misleading voters.

" Honestly, Muazu. Yuguda, and Yayale did not defected from PDP to APC
because already they were no longer card-carrying members of PDP after
the 2015 general elections as declared by them earlier," said Kannah.

He said Muazu had declared his exit from PDP before he went on exile
while Yuguda had declared for Green party of Nigeria and Gamawa was
suspended over anti-party and ceased to function as PDP elected
official six months before defecting to APC.

Kannah described as cheap blackmail and mere propaganda for APC to be
using Muazu and Yuguda's defection as a yardstick to win election come
2019.

According to him it's a clear indication that the defectors were
forced to APC since none had declared how many of their supporters
joined APC along with them, also asking why Muazu was absent at the
occasion.

" In fact, it's a political declaration to give dog a bad name when
the defectors did not declare how many of their supporters joined them
in APC," added Kannah.

The PDP governorship Spokesman warned voters to discard such political
propaganda which is aimed to deceived Nigerians after four years of
poverty and vote for the opposition

" We are tired of APC's lies. Nigerians cannot afford to place their
future in the dark again for voting the ruling party," stress Kannah.
