2019: APC guber candidate, Ogah blasts PDP, decries infrastructural deficits in Abia
candidate in Abia state, has stated that the Peoples Democratic
Party-led government has wasted twenty years in Umuahia Government
House with nothing to show as achievements.
He took a swipe at the PDP, accusing its successive administrations
for allegedly failing to address the infrastructural deficits in the
state, which according to him, had hindered the economic growth of
Abia.
Ogah stated this in his speech during the official flag off of Abia
APC governorship Campaign in Umuahia, the state capital, promising to
fix the infrastructural decays within two years of his administration
if elected.
The APC chieftain claimed that the present State government has
continued to waste the resources of Abia, thereby, subjecting the
people to hunger and poverty.
He stressed that despite the huge funds being accrued to the state by
the federal government, the Ikpeazu government had failed to provide
the basic needs of the people.
"I'm assuring Abians that within two years of my administration, I
will do what PDP failed to do when in power for 20 years. Within two
years, we will let the people of Abia know there is a lot of money in
government.
"Because, we will use the funds accrue to Abia, to work for the people
of the state. Abia people must rejoice. If you take a look at my
manifestos, you will see the wonderful plans I mapped out.
"Abia had been under PDP for twenty years, and they have failed to
provide the basic needs of the people. And I want to say that, all the
people of Abia have agreed in moving into APC for good governance.
I'm promising the people that I will not disappoint them. There is
nothing you can do to a man whose time has come. The will of the
people is a strong army, and the people of Abia have resolved to be
and remain in APC.
The APC chieftain vowed that his party, the APC, would resist any
attempt by the PDP and Governor Okezie Ikpeazu-led administration to
write election results in the forthcoming gubernatorial election in
the state.
"This time around, nobody will write results. Our votes will be
protected. I am poised to free the people from evil misrule".
