2019 budget: Abdulmumin Jibrin reacts to Reps, Senators booing of Buhari

Former Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on
Appropriation, Abdulmumin Jibrin, has reacted to outcome of President
Muhammadu Buhari's 2019 budget proposal presentation to a joint
session of the National Assembly yesterday.

We had reported earlier that during the budget presentation, President
Buhari got laud jeers from some lawmakers.

Jibrin noted that it takes courage for a President to appear before a
joint session of the National Assembly at a time like this when
lawmakers are divided across party lines.

He commended Buhari for the show of courage and added that the
President did excellently well.

The lawmaker tweeted, "It takes courage for a president to go to NASS
and present the budget during a period of bad politics and sharp
divide across party lines.

"It was a show of extreme courage by @MBuhari to have gone ahead and
did excellent as well.

"If you think it's a tea party,ask his predecessors."
