Ambode Vs Sanwo-Olu: How Saraki’s camp reacted to APC NWC’s decision on Lagos primary

The camp of the Senate President, Bukola Saraki has reacted to the
decision of the All Progressives Congress, APC, National Working
Committee, NWC, to disassociate itself from the ongoing governorship
primary election in Lagos State.

Results from Wards across the state indicated that Jide Sanwo-Olu, the
preferred candidate of APC National Leader, Bola Tinubu was leading
the state Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode.

Against this backdrop, the NWC APC panel in charge of APC governorship
primary election dissociated itself from the ongoing exercise.

It had kicked against the option A4 mode used in the election,
expressing preference for secret ballot system.

Reacting to APC NWC's decision, Saraki's Special Adviser on
International Relations, Bankole Omisore in a tweet wrote: "Party at
the center just disassociated itself from position of the state. If
party is supreme, which one should people go with?"
