EPL: Hazard hints on becoming Chelsea’s captain

Chelsea forward, Eden Hazard has hinted that he may be about taking
over the captain's armband at the club.

The 27-year-old Belgian forward is set to stay on at Stamford Bridge
for the 2018/19 campaign following Maurizio Sarri's arrival after
being heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid.

Recent reports have suggested that new manager, Maurizio Sarri could
hand Hazard the captain armband in an attempt to keep the Belgian at
the club.

England defender, Gary Cahill was appointed skipper last season but a
lack of playing time under Antonio Conte saw Cesar Azpilicueta being
often handed the responsibility.

Azpilicueta once again led the team in their 3-0 victory over
Huddersfield at the weekend, with Hazard making a 14-minute cameo
appearance in the second half at the John Smith's Stadium.

However, Hazard dropped a hint on Twitter that he could be named
captain for the remainder of the season after Chelsea's win.

Hazard changed his cover picture to a photograph of himself wearing
the captain's armband of Chelsea which was taken during the side's
pre-season clash with Lyon.

The Belgium international almost immediately changed the photo but not
before eagle-eyed Chelsea fans succeeded in sharing it across social
media.
