APC speaks on timetable for Guber, Presidential primaries

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has said it has not released
timetable for its primaries ahead of the 2019 general election.

Yekini Nabena, National Publicity Secretary, said this in a statement
sent to DAILY POST on Thursday.

Reacting to the timetable being currently circulated, Nabena said, "
timetable circulating in the social media and purportedly for the All
Progressives Congress (APC) primaries for State House of Assembly,
National Assembly, Governorship and Presidential positions" was
incorrect.

"The timetable is fake and should be disregarded. The Party is yet to
announce its official timetable for the listed primaries."

Meanwhile, APC has said Senate President, Bukola Saraki's refusal to
reconvene the National Assembly had to do with his hopes the party
would negotiate with him over its threat to see him removed as the
nation's number three citizen.

Speaking, Nabena advised Saraki to cast his fears of a looming
impeachment aside and reconvene the National Assembly in the interest
of the country.
