Ekiti: Wike reacts to attack on Fayose, warns against 2019 election

The Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike has condemned the alleged
attack on his counterpart in Ekiti State, Governor Ayodele Fayose at
the state government house on Wednesday.

DAILY POST earlier reported that Fayose was teargassed by the
policemen who laid siege at the Government House and was now receiving
treatment at the Government House's clinic.

Reacting to the attack on Fayose, Wike said the attack was a pointer
to what Nigerians should expect in the forthcoming 2019 elections.

The Governor said this on Wednesday while addressing journalists at
the Rivers State Government house in Port Harcourt, the state capital.

According to him "My state may suffer the same fate, everyone should
be on alert.

"We urge the people of Ekiti State and supporters of the PDP not to
allow the incident dampen their morale ahead of of Saturday's
governorship election."
