3 records Messi could break following Cristiano Ronaldo’s exit from Real Madrid
game of football following forward, Cristiano Ronaldo's move from Real
Madrid to Juventus this summer.
Ronaldo ended his Los Blancos's career this week when his £100million
move to Juve was confirmed.
The Portuguese captain's move to the Italian giants would help him
conquer Serie A football.
The 33-year-old has managed to succeed in Spain and in England.
He has also built a legacy that will forever be remembered by the world.
However, below are three Ronaldo's few records Messi could quite
easily break now that the former Manchester United star have left
Real.
1. The most representations in the UEFA team of the year: Ronaldo has
made it into the team 12 times (3 at Manchester United and 9 at Real
Madrid), while Messi has made it into the team 9 times (all 9 at
Barcelona).
2. UEFA Champions League trophy; Ronaldo has won it 5 times, whereas
Messi has won it 4 times.
3. The most representations in the UEFA team of the year for a single
club: Ronaldo has made it into the team of the year 9 times at Real
Madrid, while Messi has made the team 9 times at Barcelona. Ronaldo
has joined Juventus, and this leaves Messi with an opportunity to
become the player with most representations in the UEFA team of the
year for a single club. If the Argentine captain manages to make a cut
into this UEFA team of the year again, it will be his 10th for Barca.
