Former Super Eagles goalkeeper, Vincent Enyeama, has reacted to the
elimination of all African teams from this year's World Cup in Russia.
Senegal was the last of the five African nations to be sent packing
from Russia yesterday after they fell to a 1-0 defeat to Colombia.
Enyeama said it was sad to see all five African teams exit the 2018
FIFA World Cup at the group stage.
Earlier on Tuesday, the Super Eagles of Nigeria were four minutes away
from going through to the knockout stages before a late Marcos Rojo
effort eliminated them from the competition
North African teams Egypt, Algeria and Tunisia were all eliminated
from the competition after two games.
"End of an ERA. What a generation of talented African footballers.
"Four years is such a long time to wait for the next one. Sad no
African team made it through the group stage #FIFAWorldCup
#Russie2018," Enyeama tweeted on Thursday.
