PDP chieftain, Hon Ayi laments ‘evil’ APC has done to Nigeria
Ayi has said that one does not need a soothsayer to know that all was
not well in the All Progressives Congress.
Rt. Hon. Ayi who is a member representing Akpabuyo, Bakassi and
Calabar South federal constituency in the House of Representatives
lamented what Nigerians passed through in the hands of the APC
government.
Speaking with newsmen in Calabar, Hon Ayi said, "Well, you do not need
a soothsayer to tell you that all is not well with the All Progressive
sCongress (APC) in Nigeria.
Hon Ayi explained that when APC was coming with campaign of change,
they made a lot of promises, which included the reduction of pump
price of fuel to N45 per litre. He said they have instead increased
pump price from N87 to N145. He said Dollars is now N360 to a Dollar.
"The way people are suffering, I don't think any right thinking
pperson will like to continue to suffer".
"We have come here on the occasion of your festival to facilitate with
you; I want to commend the Hausa community for living peacefully with
us without any problem whatsoever.
"All those things we heard in Benue, Taraba, the issues of herdsmen
and the rest, they are not in Cross River State and it will never be.
"I want to thank you for the support you have been giving to Governor
Ben Ayade and government of the state and I urge you to support him
for his re-election come 2019, because any society without peace can
never be alright.
"He has been able to maintain peace, sustain the state, pay salary
regularly irrespective of our meagre resources and I see him as
somebody who is not greedy and who has the state at heart," he said.
