Abia government to supply 20,000 Aba made garments for N-power programme

The Abia State Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu has said that the state
government has received an order for the supply of Twenty-Thousand
pieces of Aba made garments for the beneficiaries of Federal
Government N-power programme.

The Governor made this known when he received in audience, the
Director General of National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, Brigadier
General Kazaure and his team at the government house in Umuahia. He
disclosed that the state also got the same order for the supply of
Thirty Thousand pairs of Aba made shoes courtesy of the Nigeria
military.

Ikpeazu described the patronage for Nigeria made goods as the solution
towards liberating the country from the present economic quagmire and
renewed the call on the federal government and Nigeria at large to
increase patronage for the locally made goods for the growth of SME's.

He pointed out that his administration has not relented in its efforts
in providing enabling environment for Abia youths to put their God
given talents into good use, disclosing that the Enyimba industrial
cluster has enjoyed uninterrupted power supply for four months

Earlier in his speech, the Director General of NYSC, Brigadier-General
kazure said he was in Abia state with his team to participate in the
first Abia Youth Mega Summit and promised that the scheme would
continue to partner with the state government in the training and
retraining of the youths.
