The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, on Tuesday lambasted President
Muhammadu Buhari for visiting Nasarawa State.
PDP insisted that Buhari's visit to Nasarawa was to "commiserate with
the people for the killings and the loss of cattle of some herders in
the area."
The party wondered why the President would visit Nasarawa instead of
Benue State that has high level of casualties due to farmers, Fulani
herdsmen crisis.
In a tweet via its Twitter handle, the former ruling party stressed
that Buhari, "Is just for a section of the country and not for
everybody as he claimed in his inauguration speech."
The tweet reads, "President Buhari Visits to Nasarawa State:
"This action of President @Mbuhari has once again reminded Nigerians
that the President is just for a section of the country and not for
everybody as he claimed in his inauguration speech.
"We are however surprised that instead of President @Mbuhari to visit
Benue State that had similar incidents with mind bodging casualties
involving humans, the President choose to call on Lafia, neglecting
the people of Benue State.
"We commend @Mbuhari for visiting Lafia, the Capital of Nasarawa State
on the pretense of commissioning special schools, but to commiserate
with the people for the killings and the loss of cattles of some
herders in the area."
