Group advocates establishment of Inter Faith Chaplaincy Commission
They made this call during a courtesy call on Senator Shehu Sani representing Kaduna Central Senatorial district in Abuja.
“The Commission will maintain a bar and regulate preaching among all faiths in Nigeria.
“There is need for advancement of all positive cultural, religious and social developmental purposes in Nigeria today.
“Peace must be organically pursued, no matter the costs. In this regard, we insist that all faiths should have teachings and practices which engender peaceful coexistence among Nigerians”, Joshua added.
He noted that government must invest in peaceful coexistence of its citizens before the people could be developed, adding that as a lawmaker, he was ready to support the group in promotion of peace in Nigeria.
He added that religious leaders must be sincere and faithful enough to tell their adherents the truth, that life was about peace and tolerance of one another.
Sani further stressed that the current administration was doing a lot to entrench peace all levels, adding that the citizens must have faith in government and jointly work together towards achieving peaceful coexistence.
