Boko Haram: Anglican Bishop visits 7 Division, commends troops’ fighting spirit
The Bishop added that, only God can reward them enough for the sacrifices.
The Bishop who is also an Ambassador of Peace noted that God used the military to salvage the North East from Boko Haram invasion.
He said Boko Haram in the past makes the northeast region impossible for the citizens to go about their lawful duties.
‘’We are not ignorant of your sacrifices to this nation and that is what necessitated this visit to show our appreciation. You are peace makers and peace is a concept that has to do with life. We as religious leaders will continue to offer prayers for divine protection over you and your household,’’ The Bishop said.
He noted that religious harmony is key to sustainable peace in a secular society like Nigeria and called for better understanding and tolerance among religious leaders in the country.
The GOC also used the opportunity of the visit to solicit for supports of the religious leaders in the ongoing operation to flush out Boko Haram from the region by giving relevant information that will aid the troops in their operation.
