Equity Market Extends Uptrend, Gain 1.17%
The equity market on Thursday gained 1.17% to extend
uptrend to the second day in a row. Similarly, market breadth closed
positive, recording 31 gainers against 14 losers.
In summary, the All Share Index (ASI) gained 415.41 absolute points, representing a growth of 1.17% to close at 35,773.98 points. Similarly, the Market Capitalization gained N142.99 billion, representing a growth of 1.17% to close at N12.34 trillion.
The Upturn was impacted by gains recorded in medium and large capitalized stocks, amongst which are;
LAFARGE WAPCO (+4.00%),
DANGOTE CEMENT (+2.38%),
UBA (+2.22%),
ACCESS (+1.77%),
FBNH (+1.60%),
NB (+1.24%),
ZENITH (+1.15%),
GT BANK (+0.63%)
NESTLE (+0.25%).
