Ohanaeze questions Buhari’s statement on Anambra massacre
The Igbo group also expressed disappointment at what they called late reaction from the President, saying it was a sign of the low level of concern of the President Buhari-led administration on the people.
Secretary of the group in Ondo State, Prince Erondu Uche said since the President was on medical leave, one would expect that the authentic statement would come from the Acting President, Yemi Osinbajo.
He said “We condemn in strong terms, the killing of Igbos who gatherered on Sunday to worship God in a Church at Ozubulu by yet to be identified gunmen.
“We are not sure of the authenticity of the statement that eventually came, since it is a common knowledge that our President is on Medical leave, which leaves the bulk in the table of the Acting President
“This position is further confirmed by the comment made by the Special Adviser to the President on media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, on a Channel’s Television program last night, that a statement is on the way from the office of the Acting President” he said.
The Ohaneze Ndigbo said it believed that only the presidency that should exist in the country today was that of Acting President, Yemi Osinbajo.
