FERMA releases bid for dilapidated Biu-Gombe road

Federal Road Maintenance Agency, FERMA, has released bidding for the rehabilitation of Biu/Gombe road which has suffered neglect for many years.
Currently, motorists spend three to four hours on the bad portion of the road.

The bidding was released following intervention by Hon. Muktari Betara, member representing Biu, Bayo, Kwaya Kusar and Shani federal constituency.
A statement by his spokesman, Isa Mohammed, added that efforts made by the federal lawmaker member to ensure the project commence in earnest has also received green light.

“The Federal Road Maintenance Agency (FERMA) has released the bidding procedures for interested contractors who are willing to acquire tenders and bid in for the awards of the project. There is already a publication to this effect.
“We have been praying for this to happen. Now that it is coming, interested individuals who are willing to partake in the project should immediately tender their bids through the BPP so that the project could be awarded and work could start soonest.”

The statement expressed appreciation to the federal government for prioritizing the road project.
It added that when completed the road would serve the people and also promote economic activities of the area.
