Corruption allegation: We will meet in court – Ortom replies Tsav
Tsav had insisted that he will not swallow his alleged damaging comments about Ortom as requested by the Tiv Traditional Council.
A statement by Tahav Agerzua, Special Adviser, Media and ICT to the governor, said since Tsav does not want the peace path, the state government was left with no choice than to serve him what he deserved.
He said, “We read a statement credited to the Public Complaints Commissioner in Benue State, Alhaji Abubakar Tsav, in the media today that he would neither retract the libelous and injurious letter which he wrote against the Governor of Benue State, Samuel Ortom, and his entire administration, nor tender an apology.
“What the Governor was expecting was a retraction of the recent letter and petitions he wrote against him and a public apology. However, the letter he wrote on 11th July, 2017 fell far short of a retraction and an apology.
“The Governor wonders how the letter which he wrote and based on blatant lies and falsehood could be attributed to the responsibility to ensure ” peace, orderliness, progress and development of Benue State and its leadership” as stated in his letter.”
