Bureau de change officer traces lover to Lagos hotel, destroys property
35-year-old Ibrahim had damaged a hotel’s property while searching for his girlfriend reportedly lodging with another man.
He faces a two-count of willful damage to property and breach of peace.
He, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges and was released on N20,000 bail.
The magistrate, Mrs. G.O. Anifowoshe in her ruling, said the accused should also provide one surety in like sum.
The prosecutor further claimed that Ibrahim came to the hotel and started shouting that his girlfriend was lodging with a man there and that the management should provide her. In the process, he started damaging property.
He also said that the manager of the hotel, Paul Nbareze, who was the complainant, had asked the accused to pay for all the damaged items but he refused.
He added that the offences contravened sections 168 and 350 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
