Anambra Guber: Another candidate, Henry Onuorah, emerges under PPN

A traditional chief from Awka community, Henry Onuorah, has emerged the Anambra governorship candidate of the Peoples Party of Nigeria (PPN).
At the party’s primary held in Awka, Onuorah emerged winner by scoring 23 votes from the official 30 delegates made of the state executive members and the 21 local government chairmen of the party.

The exercise, which was monitored by officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) witnessed by PPN supporters from all the 326 wards of the state.
In his acceptance speech, Onuorah said: “I promise to provide good governance to the people will actively involve the grassroots in my administration if elected.
“My priorities will be infrastructural development, education and youth empowerment.”
Chairman of the party in the state, Nelson Ihenatuoha said the party would soon marshal out a campaign programme for the candidate to enable him succeed.
