Olympiacos Piraeus new signing, Emmanuel Emenike scored his first
goal in a competitive game on Tuesday night as the Greek side beat FK
Partizan Belgrade 3-1 in the Uefa Champions League.
The Nigerian attacker netted in the first minute of second-half added
time to hand his side a commanding lead in the first leg of the third
qualifying round tie.
The 30-year-old received a defence-splitting pass from teammate Diogo
Figueiras and kept his composure to round the opponent goalkeeper,
Filip Kljajic, before planting emphatically into an unguarded net.
Emenike had been on the pitch for barely 120 seconds before he made
the decisive goal scoring contribution as he had replaced El Faroud Ben
Mohammed in the 89th minute at the Stadion Partizana.
The second leg of the tie between both clubs will be decided at Stadio Georgios Karaiskáki on 2 August.
The Striker joined Olympiacos from Turkish club Fenerbahçe for €2.5 million on July 4.
Emenike has previously played for clubs like West Ham United, Spartak Moscow and Karabükspor.
