The Nigerian Senate, on Wednesday, barred a former president, Goodluck Jonathan from running for a second term in office. This was done during voting in series of new bills being passed by the upper legislative chamber. The Bill sought that any vice president who had completed a tenure of a sitting president and contested a fresh four years mandate shall not be eligible to run for a second term of office. The Commissioner of Police, Jigawa state, Mr Rasheed Akintunji, said on Wednesday that 2 suspected motorcycle thieves have been arrested by the police command.
The suspects are Sadiq Sani, 27 and Idris Hassan, 27, all of Gwale Local Government Area of Kano State.
Akintunji revealed that the 2 suspects confessed to have been stealing motorcycles at bank premises in Dutse.
“The thieves were arrested on July 3, 2017 when the policemen on patrol in Dutse metropolis sighted and suspected the two young men trying to zoom off on a Lifan motorcycle, Bullet model, at the promises of Guarantee Trust Bank, Dutse,” he said.

He maintained that when the police interrogated them, the suspects said they stole the motorcycle.
The commissioner said investigation discovered that the motorcycle belonged to one Surajo Muhammad of Madobi village in Dutse Local Government Area of Jigawa.
He also said a master key was recovered from the suspects which they said belonged to their gang leader, one Saddam, also a resident of Gwale Local Government Area of Kano State.
Akintunji said the suspects would be charged to Court as soon as investigation was concluded.
He said luck ran out of the thieves when the police on patrol around Garki highway of Jigawa arrested them.
